BGC – “Every Child Matters” ORANGE ADULT TEE

The Orange Shirt Society is a non-profit organization based in Williams Lake, BC where Orange Shirt Day was first honored in 2013. In 2015, the Society was formed to create awareness of the individual, family and community inter-generational impacts of Indian Residential Schools with the purpose of supporting Indian Residential School Reconciliation and promoting the truth that EVERY CHILD MATTERS.

Our team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous staff and Board members work year-round to spread awareness of the Indian Residential School experience through the promotion of Truth and Reconciliation events, learning resources, activities and programs including the Orange Jersey project and the Orange Shirt Legacy Fund
